Five Point Turn

£360.00

Dressage horse Jack belonged to a neighbour of ours in North Wales. One afternoon, she sent him into the menage and I just watched him go in a flurry of energy and excitement. Rather than paint him in one pose, I felt these five poses captured the full drama of that moment.

It's a wide, sweeping composition with the dark horse set against a cool, atmospheric background, making for a real presence on the wall. A special print for lovers of the British countryside or all things equestrian.

Meet Alison

I'm Alison Bradley, an artist now based in Devon, after starting my professional practice in 2005 with my own galleries in North Wales and Chester.

I've been painting the British landscape for over twenty years - oils mainly, sometimes charcoal - working from life before developing pieces in the studio with layers of colour and light. My inspiration comes from the coastline, countryside and the people and animals who belong to them.

I've shown work at the Royal Cambrian Academy, and have been featured on the BBC and Channel 4. My work is in private collections worldwide, and in the National Collection of the National Library of Wales.

My hope is always the same - that a painting connects with something personal to you. A memory of a walk, a love of the coast, or simply somewhere to rest your eyes at the end of the day.

FAQs

  1. Who makes your prints? - hand-signed prints are made by us in our own studio. Each print is carefully checked before Alison signs and titles it in pencil.

  2. What paper and print quality can I expect? - these are museum-quality giclée prints, printed on heavyweight 310gsm cotton rag with archival pigment inks, so the colours stay true for decades.

  3. Do the prints come framed? - prints are supplied unframed, so you can choose your own frame to match your décor or existing frames. We recommend using your local professional framer, and specifying art glass and conservation or museum grade mountboards.

  4. How are the prints delivered, and how long will they take? - vast majority of prints are supplied flat between boards. Occasionally we may send rolled in a tube, but we prefer to send flat if we can. Prints are made to order in our own studio, we usually aim to dispatch via Royal Mail tracked within 2-3 days. If your order is urgent or for an important event, please let us know when you order. See delivery information.

  5. What if I want to return my print? - we want you to be happy with your purchase. If you’d like to return an item to us, please contact us within 14 days of receipt. See returns information.

  6. I have a different question, can you help me? - of course, just contact us, we’re always happy to help.
