One winter evening, Alison found a row of sheep huddling together in a snowy field near her home in the Clwydians. The moonlight illuminating the sheep through the snow clouds created a rare and special atmosphere, which Alison has recreated in this painting from a combination of memories of that evening and previous studies of sheep.
