At low tide the wet sands reflect the blue summer sky. The coast of North Wales is visible on the opposite side of the Dee Estuary with sailing boats waiting for the incoming tide. Alison visited Thurstaston Beach on a sunny day in late August and found it a beautiful, peaceful spot, with lots to inspire her painting - she plans to return at some point.
