Alison painted “Home Time, Winter Evening” after spending a day on the snow-covered Clwydian hills with her neighbour and his Border Collie. In this painting she wanted to show the bond between the farmer and his dog, but she also managed to capture the weary walk home to a fireside meal after a long day’s work.
