Power

from £275.00

There's a moment just before a wave breaks when everything seems to gather - the weight of the water, the light catching the crest, the energy that's been building since open sea. That's the moment this painting is about.

Painted in oils on canvas, Power captures a line of waves rolling in to shore, each one building behind the last. The palette is cool and luminous with whites, soft blues and sea greens.

A panoramic composition that works beautifully above a sofa, a bed, or any wall that needs a little breathing room.

Meet Alison

I'm Alison Bradley, an artist now based in Devon, after starting my professional practice in 2005 with my own galleries in North Wales and Chester.

I've been painting the British landscape for over twenty years - oils mainly, sometimes charcoal - working from life before developing pieces in the studio with layers of colour and light. My inspiration comes from the coastline, countryside and the people and animals who belong to them.

I've shown work at the Royal Cambrian Academy, and have been featured on the BBC and Channel 4. My work is in private collections worldwide, and in the National Collection of the National Library of Wales.

My hope is always the same - that a painting connects with something personal to you. A memory of a walk, a love of the coast, or simply somewhere to rest your eyes at the end of the day.
