Where Light Meets Water
British seascape from Alison Bradley Gallery
The coast has its own kind of restlessness. Light that shifts every few minutes. Tides that rearrange the world overnight. Skies that do whatever they like.
I've been painting the British coast in oils for years, and I still can't predict what I'll find when I turn up at the water's edge. That's the point, really. Oil paint is the only medium that lets me keep up with it - the wet-into-wet blending, the way you can push the paint around while the light's still changing, the depth you can build in a wave or a cloud-filled sky.
The Coastal Light collection is a series of original oils exploring the sea, shore and sky around Britain's coastline. Each one is printed onto canvas and beautifully framed by our print partner - substantial pieces made to live on your wall for many years.

After a lot of research, we found a specialist fine art print house that supplies internationally recognised galleries and museums. We've worked with them for several years and their quality and craftsmanship has always impressed us.
Every master print file is developed here in our own studio, with me approving each seascape print against the original painting. That's how we make sure the canvas faithfully captures the tone, depth and light of the work - not just a photograph of it.

Meet Alison
I'm Alison Bradley, an artist now based in Devon, after starting my professional practice in 2005 with my own galleries in North Wales and Chester.
I've been painting the British landscape for over twenty years - oils mainly, sometimes charcoal - working from life before developing pieces in the studio with layers of colour and light. My inspiration comes from the coastline, countryside and the people and animals who belong to them.
I've shown work at the Royal Cambrian Academy, and have been featured on the BBC and Channel 4. My work is in private collections worldwide, and in the National Collection of the National Library of Wales.
My hope is always the same - that a painting connects with something personal to you. A memory of a walk, a love of the coast, or simply somewhere to rest your eyes at the end of the day.
